PDP scared of me –Tinubu

…Says those who accuse him of embezzlement should go to court

tinubu bola newNational leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has advised those, who accuse him of embezzlement to charge him to court and not resort to slander.
He gave the advice yesterday, in Lagos during the 14th town hall meeting organised by Remi Tinubu, the senator representing Lagos Central Senatorial district.
Referring to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Tinubu said: “I have never seen an incumbent party so afraid of conducting an election. First, they postponed the elections, later, they said that card readers should not be used. Now, they are having problems with thumbprints. If they are not feeling being terrorised and if they are not being afraid of Bola Tinubu, they would not complain and they would not attack me.
“This is the eighth year since I left Alausa and they said I embezzled the money meant for Lagos. If anyone has any criminal case against me, why not go to court and prosecute me? Why do you catch a thief and all you do is to keep shouting thief, thief, and not take him to court? They said I have embezzled the funds in Lagos, but here, my stomach is still flat and I have not grown a potbelly. Every attack thrown at me would not work. It even inspires me the more. I have been living in Ikoyi even before I contested for the Senate but there is someone who never had shoes but now uses golden buttons. The naira was less than N100 before they started and now, it is N230. Our graduates now have to suffer before they get a job.
“We have never seen a waster or someone that performed below expectation among all the people we have sent to represent us. I enjoin everyone to collect their PVCs. Its importance is more than just using it for the elections. We also have to wash our hands very well. Wash your hand thoroughly before voting so that there won’t be problems with your thumb prints and so that nothing would disenfranchise you.”
The wife of Gen Muhammadu Buhari, the presidential candidate of the APC, Aisha, who was also present at the event, said though her husband had contested elections for many years, this year’s election is unique because the North and the South West are in support of his ambition.
“I want to appreciate Tinubu because when the issue of a Muslim/Muslim ticket was brought up, he put the interest of the nation before his own and nominated a Christian. This election is unique because the South West is solidly behind my husband and I know he would succeed,” she said.
In her speech, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, promised to continue on the path of nation building if re-elected in the upcoming elections.
Tinubu said she intended to take on matters relating to youths, public health, widows, prohibition of violence and the environment.
